What is Hot linking?
Hot linking is bandwidth theft. If another site A points to files that are hosted by site B, site A is hot linking. Site A are allowing it’s visitors to download files or see images from Site B which is a drain on Site B’s bandwidth resources (bandwidth is a measurement of how much can be downloaded from your site and is typically paid for) Site A would be getting bandwidth for free by simply stealing Site B’s bandwidth.
